Why this option?

The neurodivergence movement is undergoing great change and rapid evolution. What used to be mental illness language is now transforming into a conversation of cultural change about wellbeing, self-care, nervous system healing, life design, safe space, physical environment, and revised social agreements.

Official, medical diagnosis is important and helpful in many situations. ADHD/Autism evaluations are based on a thorough, differential process at a detailed level. Some people feel most comfortable with this approach.

A full evaluation can be cost-prohibitive for many people. If a medical diagnosis is not needed or wanted, financial barriers can be avoided through an alternative process that is grounded in expert, neuro-affirming care. Even without medical diagnosis, people can be and are still neurodivergent.

This process is designed to lift neurodivergence out of the textbook of medical language. After all, we are stellar beings, made of stardust, not limited to outdated, ableist systems. People will continue to redefine what neurodivergence means. You can decide for yourself.
